New EOSB Saving Scheme Planning Tool

End of Service Gratuity Simulator

The UAE's new End of Service Benefit (EOSB) Saving Scheme makes the calculation of your future EOSB Gratuity more tricky.

Please use our proprietary calculator to plan for a variety of scenarios:

This EOSB calculator helps to forecast your End of Service Benefit (EOSB) gratuity under UAE's new alternative EOSB system.
How to Use this Calculator

First, please fill in the inputs Date of Birth, Employment Start Date and Switchover date (which is the date when you will be transitioning to the new EOSB system). Enter your annual basic salary
Then use the sliders to select the Estimated Annual salary increase and your planned retirement age and your voluntary savings rate. Note, the voluntary savings rate in % is payroll deducted and paid by you (in contrast to the EOSB contributions which are paid by your employer).
And finally, select the investment fund type you will choose under the new system. Important note: the expected returns are based on historic averages, and are in no way guaranteed.
Once you have selected all inputs, the result is displayed on screen.

What does "In Today's Money" mean?
Remember how much a Big Mac costed 10 years ago? Due to inflation, prices rise. Hence the sum you will receive in 20 or 25 years time needs to be put into proper context. It may appear large, but you need to bear in mind that prices will inevitably have risen during the timeframe. We assume an annual inflation of 2.5% to show you what future sums mean in today's money.

What is an annuity?
The EOSB gratuity you will receive as a lump sum. But what does that mean in terms of monthly income you can generate? Insurance companies sell so-called "annuity products", whereby you pay them a lump sum, and in return you receive a regular monthly income. We have made some high-level assumptions for this so that you can - roughly - estimate what monthly income you can achieve from a lump sum. For a more accurate assessment you will need a quotation from an annuity provider.
